I’ve been creating and shaping nonfiction content for more than 25 years. After graduating from Rockford University in 1995, where I studied business administration and human relations, I became senior editor of the national business magazine, Sales and Marketing Strategies & News, where I interviewed thought leaders and wrote case studies and feature articles about Fortune 500 companies. After that, I spent nearly 20 years in marketing and media relations with a large healthcare system. I specialize in writing about business and history topics. While much of my work appears in print and electronic titles from leading reference publishers, I’ve written four nonfiction books of my own, including an authorized history of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and a similar account of the Detroit Red Wings. I began writing and editing independently in 2016, building on two decades of freelance writing and editing work. When I’m not behind the keyboard, I enjoy woodworking, hiking and cross-country skiing.
